Details about Christopher Wolff and linked projects and collaborations.
- Marine Ecology
- Natural Resources
My research has focused on prehistoric human-environment interaction and historical ecology in northern coastal regions. I am interested in how humans impacted, and were impacted by, ecosystem change. I am particularly interested in human adaptations that were focused on hunting sea mammals and utilizing littoral resources. To date, my research has been centered on Newfoundland and Labrador peoples, from the Archaic to protohistoric First Nations peoples, but I also have active research in Alaska and the Lake Champlain region of northeastern New York.
