Research Summary

Alasdair is an environmental historian and the current director of the Research Centre for Environmental History and Policy at the University of Stirling, Scotland. His research interests include assessing the environmental impacts of turf and wood structures over time, land assessment and resource management (including commonties), and 'anti-improvement'.
