Details about Damien Huffer and linked projects and collaborations.
I am a bioarchaeologist/human osteologist with interest in the study of human migration, social identity and the biomechanics of activity patterns as compared between populations over time, both within shared environments and subsistence patterns and between them, as determined from supporting archaeological data. These avenues of research compliment bioarchaeological studies of pathology, mortality and fertility (indicators of human stress and vulnerability) by potentially illuminating how human populations existed on a day to day level within complex environments. I am also involved in research that monitors, exposes, and documents the illicit antiquities trade in archaeological artifacts, especially as conserns Southeast Asia, as well as the development of novel, multi-media methods of outreach, such as educational games.
