Details about Jennifer Brown and linked projects and collaborations.
My main interest is the study of cultural landscapes and historical human-environmental interactions. To this end I have used a theoretical framework based on the concepts of resilience, vulnerability and adaptive capacity. In my research I use this framework to integrate data from different disciplines, such as: soil science, history, archaeology, climatology, and palynology. I also use different scientific research tools such as simulation modelling, GIS and remote sensing, micromorphology and soil science techniques.
